Chris Blackard, president and owner of V&C Landscape.inc has been involved in the irrigation industry since 1982. Starting out as an estate gardener at Staggs Leap wine cellars in Napa CA and moving into the lead maintenance gardener position 4 years later, Chris obtained the Horticulture knowledge that would later help transition over into the infrastructure side of landscaping. After leaving Staggs Leap, Chris went on to work for Redwood Landscaping in Santa Rosa CA. Chris worked for 7 years working on large commercial irrigation and also worked as an account manager for the city of Rohnert Park, managing parks, buildings, and city thoroughfares. In 1995, Chris was hired by Cagwin and Dorward to open an irrigation department and develop a team of irrigation technicians for the companies, Novato, Santa Rosa, Fairfield, and Sacramento yards. This eventually training of 13 irrigation techs, and 9 irrigation trainees through the program. Chris opened up CB irrigation management in (1997-2010 )This business model is the prototype for V&C Landscape.inc It focuses on water conservation and innovative technologies. Today, V&C combines the knowledge of the past, with the technologies of the future to bring state of the art water management in these trying times.
