Event Description:
Mid-Year Employment Law Update!
This will be a short mid-year update on recent employment-law developments. We’ll discuss changes to federal overtime rules and state minimum wage requirements – and how they can affect salaried employees as much as hourly workers. We will also cover amendments to state Fair Employment law, including harassment and discrimination and how the new “qualified investigator” requirement puts many employers in a bind. These and other issues will be on the agenda with time to discuss questions from participants.
